Location
Carpigiani headquarters are in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The area is known for warm weather, friendly Southern charm, and access to both mountains and ocean. The Blue Ridge Parkway with its inspiring Smoky Mountain vistas is only an hour and a half away. Vacation destination Myrtle Beach is just over 3 hours away by car, or travel west to visit Asheville’s many arts and crafts stores and the Biltmore Mansion, gardens, and winery.
The area is blessed with mild weather. We do experience the diversity of all four seasons, although the Piedmont (meaning foot of the mountains) rarely has travel interruptions due to snow or ice. Winston-Salem is well-served by an international airport just minutes away, and two intercontinental airports less than two hours away.
The area is home to several higher education institutions, the largest furniture market in the world, a thriving artistic community, and scenic natural attractions. Visitors may enjoy historic Old Salem village, Reynolda House and Gardens art museum and former home of R.J. Reynolds, Sciworks science exploration center, Piedmont Opera, the Winston-Salem Symphony, the Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem, Korner’s Folly architecturally unique house, Whitaker Park historic tobacco barn and museum, Bethabra Historic Park, Tanglewood Park, Richard Petty Museum, several historic sites relating to the area’s early Moravian settlers, and a plethora of regional wineries. The town benefits from the academic and cultural influence of Wake Forest University, University of North Carolina (in Chapel Hill), North Carolina State (in Raleigh), Winston-Salem State University, North Carolina School of the Arts, Salem College, and Gardner-Webb University as well as their many athletic offerings. The NFL Panthers home stadium is in nearby Charlotte, North Carolina. The Winston Salem Warthogs are a single A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.
